So how often do you get to see women Morris Dancing in London? Well, pretty frequently in the summer months....2011 here we come!!

Queensborough Community Centre, Borough - Social Club Party.

23 April

St George's Day! Festivities kick off around 12.45 at the Duke of Kent, Scotch Common, Ealing W13 8DL. Then we will be dancing in Borough Market from around 3.30pm, as part of the Borough Market St George's Day Event, followed by dancing in the evening with our guests Hammersmith Morris. First pub is the Old Thameside Inn from 6.30 pm, followed by the Brew Wharf and finishing up at The Market Porter.

1 May

May Day! We will be touring Islington in the afternoon with our traditional Milk maid's garland, starting at The Compton Arms at 4 Compton Avenue from around 11.30 am. Then we will take our garland down Upper St and dance outside the King's Head; followed by Islington Green; the Steam Passage at 44 Upper St; and the Camden Head at 2 Camden Walk.

2 May

We will be taking part in the Beddington May Fayre, Beddington Park, Croydon, Surrey

7 May

We have been invited to perform at the May Ball run by the totally fabulous Dulwich Ukukele Club as part of the Dulwich Festival..should be a night to remember..

14 May

Heading up to Sheffield city centre for the Joint Morris Organisation (JMO) Day of Dance, followed in the evening by a ceilidh in the Cathedral with Hekety

18 May Wednesday evening Clapham tour. The Windmill, Clapham Common South Side, SW4 9DE followed by the Rose & Crown, 2 The Polygon, SW4 0JG. 7.30pm start.

21 May

Windsor Day of Dance as guests of Windsor Morris

18-19 June

Maldon Morris Day of Dance

21 June

Solstice tour at the Duke of York, followed by the Marquis of Granby - both on Rathbone St, London W1

5 July Touring Clerkenwell and Smithfield as guests of Hammersmith Morris. Starting at 7.30pm at Jerusalem Tavern, Britton Street, EC1M 5UQ. Then at 8.30 the Smithfield Tavern, Charterhouse Street, EC1M 6HR and at 9.00 Rising Sun, Cloth Fair, EC1A 7JQ
13 July
Wednesday evening Borough tour. Starting at The Lord Clyde, 27 Clenham St, SE1 1ER, followed by the Royal Oak, 44 Tabard St, SE1 4JU.

21 July

The Keystone Cider Festival, Guildford

10 Aug Wednesday evening Marylebone tour. Starting at the Thornbury Castle, 29a Enford St, W1H 1DG, followed by The Harcourt Arms, 32 Harcourt St, W1H 4HX.

20-23 Aug

Heading up North once more to perform and do workshops at Whitby Folk Week. The party starts here..

9-11 Sept
We will be enjoying Welsh Border fun and frolics at Bromyard Folk Festival
14 Sept
Wednesday evening tour, TBD

Interval spot at the Unicorn Ceilidh, Hitchin



Most local tours will take place in or around London on a Wednesday evening. Exact locations and guest teams will be posted as they become confirmed.

Wednesday tours are 7.30pm for dancing at 8pm. If there is a second pub listed we will aim to dance there at around 9pm. Dancing will usually be over by 10pm but we will undoubtedly still be hanging around for some beer!
